Special Warfare Operator First Class Patrick Delaney Feeks (SEAL), was Killed In Action in Afghanistan, 16 August 2012.  He was our neighbor and friend; a warrior and patriot and beloved husband and son.  As a community, we will be honoring his legacy of valor, citizenship, and sacrifice.  The community of Gingerville will celebrate his life the weekend of October 7th - 8th.
Saturday, October 7th Memorial Bike Ride - Still Time to Register   
Pat was a life-long cycling enthusiast. This all ages memorial bike ride starts at 645 AM Saturday October 7th (rain date October 8th).  Adults- will enjoy a 10-mile sunrise bike ride over the South River Bridge, through Edgewater neighborhoods, across the Riva Bridge, and wrapping back on Admiral Cochrane. The ride ends back in the community. Children-A closed course bike ride will be conducted for children of all ages and experience levels.  All registered riders will receive a raffle ticket, commemorative t-shirt, and memorial wrist band.  Post-ride refreshments bagels, fruit, and coffee.   Please register today.
Sunday, October 8th Memorial Flag Raising - 1PM 
The official flag raising ceremony will commence promptly at 1 PM Sunday, October 8, 2017. The flag raising program will be followed by refreshments.  Dress for the ceremony is business / smart casual.  Guests are invited to start gathering between 12:30 and 12:45 at the Gingerville pool pavilion.
