Anne Arundel County is current removing trees in the pond area to comply with regulations.  Per the regulations, tress that are on the dam within 15’ must be removed - including the tree next to the pool /outfall.  In addition, B&GE has been engaged to help with trees that are growing above power lines.  This level maintenance will keep the water flowing and protect power lines – just in time for winter storms.

You may have noticed work on the corner of Cassia and Cardamom.  This is a replacement of drafting tanks used by the fire department.  The replacement ensures water availability in case of emergency. 

As a reminder, any community member can call BG&E to report tree growing over lines.  During your fall clean up – please take look up and call on any suspicious branches or trees.
